Aboard MV Reef Endeavour
Contact Ship n Shore for a Detailed Itinerary!
We begin our ‘NZ Winter Pacific Island Escape’ with one night at an Auckland Airport Hotel before our flight to Fiji and two nights at the Luxury Radisson Blu Resort at Denarau Island. The great thing about staying at a Denarau Island resort is that there are 7 of them all in a row and you are welcome to visit any one of them!
A time to relax and move into island time before we begin our cruise.
Aboard MV ‘Reef Endeavour’ every cabin has a private ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and opens to the outside deck and has two picture windows. This cruise is away from the main tourist areas, venturing into some of the least populated/developed parts of Fiji. During the week we will circumnavigate Vanua Levu (Fiji’s second largest island) and explore the islands, rivers, rain-forests of the remote north. On the way discover the four different cultures of the Ellice (Polynesian), Banabas (Mocronesian), Indian and Fiji (Melanesian) people. You’ll meet the Polynesian people of Kioa Island (who will greet us from a flotilla of outrigger canoes), go in search of gentle manta rays in their natural hatchery and Glass Bottom Boat on the Great Sea Reef. Visit a remote school, a Hindu snake temple, the busy spice markets, a Choral Church service and travel by tender up the Labasa River to visit Vanua Levu’s largest town. A lovo feast, Meke and island night completes this amazing cruise.
