Fly Auckland to Wellington. WOW Platinum seats (best seats in the house). Wellington Sighseeing. Drive around Miramar Peninsula. Northern Explorer Train to Hamilton.

WOW Show - Step into a world where art and human form combine. Where dance, music and lighting tell a story of the body as a canvas, where the lines of fashion and art blur and merge as one. WOW Shows can be difficult to describe, hard to define and utterly impossible to forget! If you have never been to a WOW Show you will be in awe of the experience. If you have been before you will not be disappointed this time. We fly to Wellington with two nights at a harbourside hotel, enjoy Wellington Sights, WOW Show. Northern Explorer Train from Wellington to Hamilton (including Raurimu Spiral). Coach home to Auckland.

Tour Itinerary:

  DAY 1: Fly Auckland to Wellington, then Wellington Sightseeing.
Late morning fly Auckland to Wellington. Karen and Ron will meet you with the SHIP n SHORE coach and we then enjoy an afternoon of Wellington Sightseeing, checking out the hotspots - Cable Car (Goldcard or $6), Botanic Gardens, Parliament Buildings, St Pauls Cathedral, Mt Victoria, Courtney Place. Dinner at our Harbourside Hotel.

  DAY 2: Wellington Free Day till Tonight's WOW Show
Free day till tonight's show - time for Te Papa, Shopping, catching up with friends, coastal walkway or a Harbour Cruise. WOW Show in Platimum Seats (best seats in the house).

  DAY 3: Train - Wellington to Hamilton
We board the Northern Explorer train at Wellington Railway Station and depart at 7.55am. From the Kapiti Coastline, through virgin bush, over mighty viaducts and the spectacular Mangaweka Gorge. Lunch will be served on board. We see the mountains of the Central Plateau, with the stand-out masterpiece of the journey being the Raurimu Spiral. We drop down into the ruggedness of the King Country that quickly runs into the lush green pastures of Waikato farmland. We arrive Hamilton at 4.25pm. Dinner at our central city hotel, alongside the mighty Waikato River, with the casino right next door.

  DAY 4: Waitakaruru Arboretum Sculpture Park then coach to Auckland
This morning we visit the Waitakaruru Arboretum Sculpture Park for a Self-Guided walk through an old quarry with over 100 sculptures, finishing with morning tea (incl.). This sculpture park has been 30 years in the making and won't disappoint. Then we are homeward bound, making a lunch stop at Huntly before a leisurely drive around 'new' Pokeno. We arrive Auckland City late afternoon.
